“Always Faithful.”

Owner’s Letter

Shady Oaks provides strong nursing in a cozy and loyal home.

We are higher care vs. other assisted livings.
We are more affordable vs. live-in home care.
We are more cozy vs. skilled nursing homes.

I value care.  I am a Red Cross trained nurse assistant.
I value service.  I am a 3-tour Marine Iraq veteran.
I value learning.  I earned a Yale BA and Harvard PhD.

Call me 860-583-1526. I am always available. I live next door.

Very Respectfully,

Tyson Francis Belanger

Families Helping Families

Shady Oaks is the 2nd assisted living in all Connecticut. The owner’s parents began senior care in 1969. 12 of their family members lived here. 2 are here now. Shady Oaks runs how the owner helps his own family.

Families choose us when they prioritize care. We help seniors with dementia, Parkinson’s, heart disease, strokes, falls, and other high needs. We have deep hospice experience. We have great staff and pay them well.

We help with affordability. Our rates are much less than for live-in home care and skilled nursing homes. Our care is private pay, with VA & CT aid. In 6+ years, we only lost 3 residents to running out of money.

We are strong against COVID. By Nov 2022, only 2 residents ever caught it. Our residents and families feel safe and grateful. The Connecticut Assisted Living Association awarded us Humanitarian Home of 2021.
