Owner’s Letter

My family has served seniors for 50+ years.  Both my grandmothers lived here at Shady Oaks Assisted Living.  Our caregivers provide strong nursing in a cozy and loyal home.

We offer long-term, hospice, and respite care services.
We are much less expensive vs. 24 hour in-home care.
We are higher care & cozy vs. other assisted livings in CT.
We are more social & affordable vs. nursing homes.
We have 23 rooms. Our senior care is private pay.

I value care.  I am a Red Cross trained nurse assistant.
I value integrity & service.  I am a Marine Iraq veteran.
I value learning.  I earned a Yale BA and Harvard PhD.
I value responsiveness.  I am owner & director.

I live next door.  I am always available to meet with residents, families, and caregivers.  Call me at 860-583-1526.  Visit us today.

Very Respectfully,
Tyson Francis Belanger

Families Helping Families

My parents are pioneers in seniors care.  They began caring for seniors in 1969 and built Shady Oaks in 1976.  Shady Oaks Assisted Living was the 2nd licensed assisted living home in Connecticut.

We excel at long-term senior care.  Seniors stay with us for many years.  They stay even as their needs increase.  We help many residents with advanced dementia, Parkinson’s, Diabetes, and those recovering from falls or strokes.  We have deep experience with hospice comfort care.

We also offer respite care.  For days or weeks, seniors stay with us for rehabilitation, caregiver vacations, or home remodeling projects.  Others use respite as a test-run for a longer term stay.

We provide strong nursing senior care in a cozy and loyal home.  11 of my family members lived happy years hereMy mother might soon need our care.
